Tailored Exquisite Floral Designs

Hello, I am Lois Lai. LO.LA is just short for Lo(is) and La(i).

My love with plants and flowers started when I was a little child.  When my family took me to hike, they just wanted the exercise and fresh air, while I surveyed the wild. I observed, sniffed, or cautiously touched what the nature has to offer.  Unlike the rest of my family, I don’t mind dirt, insects, worms, caterpillars, spiders. I appreciate everything from the fun sensitive plant (that folds inward upon touching), the beautiful Monarch, to the unique pattern on tree bark, and even the brilliant stick insect that might not caught the sight of many.

“Plants and flowers can’t get your butter and bread on the table,” my family told me and I believed that. Until in my mid twenties, I stumbled a local floral design class. “You got nothing to lose, go try it.” My friend Danico said. From there, I completed all the classes that were offered, I learnt the basic principles, I volunteered in a small shop, and my life was forever changed. I got into the industry and worked and learned my way in. 

Throughout the years, I’ve worked in different flower shops, worked from a non paid position, to a designer, to a manager. I have also worked in other industries and learned other skills, but my passion in floral art remains.
